Frescrete Post Mortem Room Double

After many years of service the existing sheet vinyl floor covering at the Leeds General Infirmary Post Mortem Room had ended its useful /serviceable life.

The demands upon a Post Mortem room are well understood and the floor surface must be capable of withstanding extreme exposure an need to be easily cleaned to maintain a hygienic environment.

Frescrete Ltd part of the long established Leeds based Fresco Group were approached to recommend the most appropriate solution and opted for seamless coloured aggregate epoxy resin screed approx. 5mm thick complete with a smooth curved coving detail to ensure any contaminants were not left lodged in any corners / junctions.

The Post Mortem room having undergone complete refurbishment has left the Department with a fresh, easily cleaned functional floor finish.

The staffs at Leeds General Infirmary and St. James Hospital (Jimmy’s) hospital are in regular contact with one another and as soon as the Post Mortem Staff at Jimmy’s had seen the L.G.I. floor they just simply had to have the same finish.

This time Frescrete installed exactly the same system apart from a subtle change in colour to match the adjacent décor.
